Pupil Leadership

We believe that pupil leadership and pupil voice should be at the heart of everything we do in the school. To this end, we have introduced a comprehensive system of school leadership.

Pupil leadership in the school is overseen by our Senedd which comprises senior students from Year 13, elected annually. The Senedd is chaired by two Head Prefects who are appointed following interviews with the Headteacher and Governing Body. Every member of the Senedd is responsible for a particular area within the school and reports to the School Council and Head Prefects. 

The pupil leadership structure is based on democratic elections in which House Representatives are elected for each year group and for each area of responsibility within the school.

Members of the Pupil Leadership councils and the Senedd are regularly consulted by the Governing Body and the Senior Leadership Team and are integral to the running of the school.
